SORAKSAN

Just got back from a hike in SORAKSAN with Carola, my german room mate. It was georgeous but tough!

Friday: I took the bus to Seoul in order to meet up my Urban Design class mates. We walked around two blockes and now we have 2 weeks to make a presentation out of what we saw. At 4 I was suppose to meet up with Carola but I dont have a phone here in Korea so it wasnt that easy - but we managed after some help from nice Koreans. Bus to Sockcho where we stayed overnight as Couchsurfers.

Saturday:  Started hiking at 8. Walked up up up - but it was georgeous all the time! Met some really nice people and made it up to Daecheongbong, Koreas third highest peak (1708m) at 3 o´clock. We got two beds up on the top which I still find amazing! People slept outside (it was freezing) and all over inside the shelter but we accually got beds (a 50 cm wide space on a wooden floor). Someone must have given up their space for us and who ever that was - I am forever thankfull! For hours before bedtime we talked with a hole bunch of people. We were the only foreingers there so I guess they found it kind of funny..
