Mr. Toilet + Seoul

SATURDAY: A visit to Mr. Toilet House here in Suwon and a walk around the city. Mr. Toilet House had the shape of a toilet (surprise surprise) and was build as a private house. The owner passed away 2 years ago so the family donated it to the city for public 'use'. Its a really cool house with some amazing architetural solutions.

SUNDAY: A trip to Seoul with my great roomie Carola. See pictures below.

Temple Stay - Failure

I was suppose do a Temple stay over this weekend - but, I couldn´t find the Temple. And all I remembered from my directions (that I forgot back at the campus) was that the Temple name starts with an 'M' and that it was 50  in one directions (maybe to the right?) before a turn in an other direction...

So. After a bag of Korean cookies I started to walk along Cheonggyechon strem (Seoul) and decided to cross and photograph all 15 birdges crossing the strem. Along the stream there was also a lot of other interesting things going on...

Scheisse Tenta!

Seoul Tower, Nanta, Host Family Day

A quick update about last week;

SEOUL TOWER
Last Tuesday I went to a Architects conference in Seoul. The first hour was in korean (simply nothing for me). The following 2 hours were in english and the last 2 hours were in German/Korean. Thank god I understood the german part else I would have died in there! After that it was a perfect time to see Seoul Tower at night!

NANTA
WOW! Hard to explaine but simply amazing! Its a Korean non verbal cooking show that inlcludes lots of music and rythm. Check it out: http://nanta.i-pmc.co.kr/en/about/place_jeongdong.asp ! Anyway. I was pulled up on the stage! So there I was, in front of this audience - making mandues!
And this is the happy Chef

After the Nanta show, and some Bibimbap, we went to a Firework Festival

HOST FAMILY DAY
Yesterday we had a host family day - was really nice.
This is my host family and two other Exchange students.
Look what they had made!! So cute!!  :)

Chestnuts and Sweetpotatos! :)
