Sorry, I was simply to tired last night to write about our trip on Jeju so, I´ll do it now! I´m gonna try to make it short, which will be hard since we met so many nice persons and did alot during our stay, but I´ll give it a try. :)
*I booked the flight to Jeju only 8 hours before I accually left campus - so, this was more than an
unexpected trip for me...
*-
Did I told you to bring a pillow and a blanket?
- No!
That night I slept on the floor, with the pillow I "borrowed" from the plane but without blanket. So, it was just me, the floor and my red little pillow. Well, I only slept a couple of hours before I woke up - shivering. For the second night I bought a 15 000 won blanket.
*From knowing how to say and spell
'Milk' in korean, I was able to understand JEJU on a Korean sign - That really did my day!
*I don´t really drink much at all. Especially not beer. But when this old man, who constantly spoke in Korean with us, wrote us tons of notes in korean, took millions of pictures, of and with us, together with all his Jeju island sculptures and had this smily happy face, well, then
even I had a beer. It was 10 am. This man even gave me a arm and hand massage, help me take on my shooes and hold my hand while walking us to the Chocolate museum. Ater giving us some free coffee and taken more photos, he walked back home. We were both in shock.
* Waterfalls, Tea plantage, Lava Cave, Beaches.. and Bus tours. God it is really an experience to go by bus here! We waited for buses that did not existed, went in the wrong direction and got of where we had a it-should-be-right-feeling. I have no words to descibe it, simply try it!
*10,2 km
UP UP UP and 10,2 km down took us 9 hours. Klimbing Halla Mountain was amazing! And taking a two hour nap after that was no problem...
We met a lot of great people on out trip! On our trip back we met this great and nice korean man. We got his e-mail so next time we´re off to Seol he´ll guide us around. It was when he bought us some banana milk that I realised how good it is to know the word 'Milk' in korean...
And just to let you know; I am so going to be a pro on charades after beening in Korea! :)
